Decatur Makers is metro Atlanta’s first and only all-ages makerspace. 

We’re also a nonprofit — so your gift is tax-deductible! 

Thank you for supporting Decatur Makers in our End-of-Year 2020 Campaign, particularly now during the Covid19 pandemic! Decatur Makers exists because of the generosity of our members and larger maker community including folks like you. Our goal is raising $15,000 by midnight on Dec 31... we'll be dancing and singing over here, masked and socially distanced!

During these crazy times, Decatur Makers has an important role to play and our mission is particularly important: empowering people to create and learn to better their lives and our communities. And you can continue to help us make a difference.

Since March 2020, during the pandemic, we have worked on several impactful community projects:

• Played a leadership role in Atlanta Beats Covid which made and donated over 70,000 PPE to healthcare and frontline workers, 
• Built and installed a Little Free Pantry for the Decatur First Christian Church which supports dozens of people dealing with food insecurity,
• Made and donated over 400 desks to kids in need attending school from home,
• Partnered with Beacon Hill Black Alliance on their "Art for the People" project to educate the Atlanta community against racism.

This shift in priorities hasn’t changed the regular work we’re continuing to do… Your donation today would make a real impact with all of our programs in 2021 (better times are coming!):

• Educating through virtual hands-on experiences to learn and create,
• Offering more virtual workshops to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills,
• Kicking off our Making Spaces teacher professional development program with educators across Atlanta,
• Empowering kids and adults to make a difference,
• Continuing to partner with other organizations to solve community problems,
• Supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs,
• Inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers.
